THE PRINCESS BRIDE Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, and Chris Sarandon
THE QUESTION??? WHO WOULD ROBIN HAVE BEEN WRIGHT...(I MEAN RIGHT) TO CHOOSE IN REAL LIFE?
MOVIE
THE PRINCESS BRIDE
THE PLOT
Based on the William Goldman novel, Rob Reiner directed this quirky postmodern fairy tale that is a fun mix of swashbuckling pirates, romance, and comedy that takes a new twist at the age-old damsel-in-distress story and makes it new again. Robin Wright and Cary Elwes star in this fairytale adventure about a beautiful princess and the gallant hero who rescues her from an evil villain (Chris Sarandon).
A SIDE OF ATTITUDE
It may have not won numerous Academy Awards for writing (maybe it should have) but this movie is full of amazing and memorable quotes. It is truly difficult to choose my favorite but here are a few stand outs:
“There is nothing better than true love in the whole world. Except a nice MLT. Mutton, lettuce, and tomato when the mutton is nice and lean and the lettuce is nice and crisp. Ohhh you can't beat it.” —Miracle Max
“Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.” —Inigo Montoya
“There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world. It would be a pity to damage yours.” —Westley
“As you wish.” —Westley
“Inconceivable!” —Vizzini
“Have fun stormin’ da castle!” —Miracle Max
“Whoo-hoo-hoo, look who knows so much. It just so happens that your friend here is only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do. —Miracle Max
What's that? —Inigo Montoya
Search his clothes for loose change, hehe.” —Miracle Max
LET’S GET STARTED!
So in real life who would Robin been better off choosing?
Make sure to add your comments below! As with all my posts I look forward to you agreeing with me 100%. LOL!! Ok bring on the heat! I want to hear your thoughts and who knows...you might be able to change my mind...Maybe!!
Lets break down Robin’s men in real life. Both have on going successful Hollywood careers, so could Kristen really make a bad choice? Hmmm Maybe???

FIDELITY
Chris attended the Catholic University of America Drama Dept, where he met Susan Sarandon (born Susan Tomalin) He Married Susan September 16 1967 and divorced in 1979. He was then with Lisa Cooper from October 4 1980 until their divorce on January 15 1989. They had 3 children Alexis Sarandon (born October 2, 1984) Stephanie Sarandon (born December 25, 1986) Michael Sarandon (born December 12, 1988). Chris then met and married his current wife Joanna Gleason on July 22. The two met while performing in Broadway's 1991 short-lived musical Nick & Nora.
Cary met photographer Lisa Marie Kurbikoff in 1991 at a chili cook-off in Malibu, California and they dated for 6 years. After 2 years of engagement they married in 2000 and have one daughter together. They have been married for 17 years. If you do the math they have been together for almost 27 years!
Fidelity goes to Elwes! For his romantic role on the screen, and his commitment off the screen, we give this to Elwes and his one true love. AS YOU WISH…. LISA.
LONGEVITY
Elwes- Age 54
Sarandon- Age 75
No guarantee who will live longer but based on the numbers we give this to Elwes.
CAREER POWER
Elwes has been in several movies and TV roles such as The Princess Bride, Glory, Kiss the Girls, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Days of Thunder, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Hot Shots!, Twister, The Jungle Book, Liar, Liar, and Saw.
Chris has had an active career on the screen as well as in the theatre, highlighted by his nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Dog Day Afternoon.
Reaper, Fright Night, and Detective Mike Norris in the first entry of the Child's Play series, and for providing the voice of Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Career power goes to Elwes! I honestly struggled with this one. There is no doubt that Chris has the name that people would recognize (possibly more for his ex-wife’s notoriety than his own) and an Oscar nomination, but Elwes has a strong cult following that is sure to keep him busy for years to come.
THE LOVE TRINGLE AWARD GOES TO???
I have to give this one to Elwes! Even after all the years since the movie’s release they still would look like one incredibly hot couple together. Personally I think she might even look better now. Robins House of cards hair even almost seams like an homage to Elwes’s hero hair in The Princess Bride. He would offer her the stability and a long term realtionship which she appears to be struggling with in her past partners.Elwes may not be as challenging as the men she dates but like magic max we choose to believe in True Love!
